Given that the prompt does not occur in netscape, I'm going to assume
that this is yet another bug in IE. If anyone else has any different
ideas, feel free to chime in.
I'd test whether Netscape complains if other content is mixed
fotm secure and insecure sites, like retrieving a frameset HTML
over https but the frames over http, or perhaps retrieving images
in a secured HTML page pointing to a plain HTTP URL.
It would probably also be worth to have a look at the IEx
zone and security settings, and to check whether the PDF
plugin for IEx was signed.
