What about snapping to a point 1/2 the track width in from the corner so
that a line can be extended seemlessly out from the fill. Not something I
expect a lot of people would use very much though.

Definitely, surely, absolutely, positively, must-have - correct snap to the
intersection of two lines. Solve the current problem where when you try to
snap to an intersection the cursor hunts about staying on the centre line
of one track or the other while trying to keep one dimension on
grid. TurboCad (and others I am sure) has a useful feature that allows hot
keys to be used to force snaps to nearby features (hitting 'I' while
placing a point will snap to nearest intersection). (Work arounds exist
but are messy.)

Since this is a standalone command it could be done as a simple enough
add-on server... done.
