Hello gang:

Have any of you noticed how slow the pcb editor operations work. Even with
small file sizes I have noticed that simple operations can be very slow. I
am wondering if any of you can give some insights on how to speed up the
software. I am using a Pentium III 600MHz with 512M of high speed RAM. I
would expect no hesitation when I am selecting, moving, placing in the
editor. Some other Protel users in our company are complaining of the same
problem. We are connected to a network, and although that may have something
to do with it, I do not think this is the culprit. One user tells me his
harddrive seems to be very active while he is doing his edits. Does this
indicate a stretch of the RAM resources ?? All input is appreciated.

Thank you,
