As I mentioned, we only put a pad and hole at each end of the slot

        purely as reference points for the Vendor. The slot is routed per
the Vendor's

        process not step and repeat drilled.

        Info put on the mech layer - is this used as a reference for the
fabrication drawing or 

        is the layer combined with other layers to create a fab. drawing.

        I have not used the mech layers and not familiar with their use.
