you're right, I meant OpenJDK. As I just found out, OpenJDK and the
so-called "Sun Java" both are published by Oracle. Wikipedia says, "OpenJDK
6 is based on JDK 7", so there do not seem to be any problems at all.

Oracle Java = "Sun Java" It is relevant because of performance issues of
OpenJDK. Depending on the machine it is running on, OpenJDK can be much
slower than Sun Java.

But basically, I hadn't enough insight when I posted.
