DD (720 KB) disks have no second hole. Use adhesive tape to simulate that on a HD (1.44 MB) disk.


Maybe somebody can give me a clue here or show me a working format
tool, preferably with sources, from which I could learn... and please
test if it works in FreeDOS, too, before telling me about your tool.

FDFORMAT 1.8 by Christoph Hochsta"tter, of course, which is open source, in Pascal and Assembler.


PS: Still need test results / feedback about the FAT32 FORMAT 0.91n Win98 bug!

Grab a Win98 boot disk from the Internet (e.g. www.bootdisk.com) and test and debug it yourself! If you're lucky, you may even do it before the police comes to arrest you (black humour of course ;-)
