You mean 2008: http://www.freedos.org/software/?prog=edit (but still I am a fan of the older 0.7a, works with FDAPM) Compared to SETEDIT, your editor works on 8086. And compared to our EDIT, your editor can probably handle bigger files... So yes, your GENTEXT is a good alternative.
