I have noticed that this is an explosive topic. Some people think it doesn't
matter the source, and others disagree. From what I'm reading (I may be
wrong),but it seems from what I'm reading in this discussion that a program
can only be submitted to freeDOS if it is made with a specific compiler.I
don't think that is a good way to organize freeDOS,because there is so many
people with so many different language knowledges (language meaning
programming languages).I have a friend that is skilled in pascal, but lacks
in C++.Me on the other hand,I am skilled in QBASIC.To put it simply,a good
program is a good program,no matter it's source. If someone were to make the
world's best security program, but they made it in BATCH,would that
automatically make the program "bad"?I think we all should agree to
disagree,as I am noticing people becoming restless with this topic. Here's
my suggestion:When someone makes a program,(if it includes the source, which
it should),they state what language it was made in,and if possible include
the compiler they used. This way, people can reprogram the source, and all
languages can be used.I hope this suggestion helps,as I am not leaving
QBASIC.(You gotta love the outdated languages). :)
