I’m not even sure what is the newest version of what when it comes to HTMLHELP.
The version on FD-NLS is the version I was sent as “done”. If there is newer
versions, I’d be glad to stick them on there. I just have know idea whats going
on in regards to translations for HTMLHELP.

I see the thread has a ES update… Is that just ES, or everything, or ES is new
and rest is older… No Idea.

Mostly, I rely on developers and translators to provide me updated translations
for FD-NLS. When they get changed elsewhere and nobody informs me or better yet
provides updates, they will often get missed.

Me neither. I don’t think there is a “perfect” solution that makes everyone
happy. I think from a Maintainer and probably a Translator’s standpoint, having
everything in one place is a lot easier. From the Developer’s point of view, it
is easier to keep the translations along with their project.

Overall, I think the best method is what I have been doing. I keep a local
English copy for development purposes which may or may not be included on the
source repository. I try and remember to put a note with the sources to point
possible Translators to the FD-NLS project. I keep all language translations
for my work there. Then when I do a release, I pull them directly from FD-NLS
and package them up with the program. But, getting others to use a similar
method is difficult at best.

I’ve been thinking about doing a custom desktop app (Win/Lin/Mac) to assist
Translators by showing the languages they are interested in translating,
providing in app comparisons and editing. But, IDK.

:-)
