yes, that is correct, we see those runtimes commonly with openmp. Someone else will have to answer the VM question though.

I was asking this because the release note of v6.0.0 said the recon-all -all 
runtime of new-ish workstation is
just under 3 hours!!!
That makes me wonder if I missed something or did not set up the VM right.
