Hello, Dischi, I just tested your bmovl code and it works wonderful. Some ideas I have to improve it:
1) I don't know if it's possible, but... Make it a plugin, this plugin should create /tmp/bmovl if it doesn't exist AND add -vf scale,expand it it is not there yet. 2) have a special setting for OSD in skin, so it can define a background and the area to draw things. We can use Info_Area to draw text. Maybe I can extend Info_Area to handle images, so one can show icons within <if> 3) disable sending "osd" to mplayer, it doesn't fit well with our OSD 4) when we get VOL +/- we could show a beautiful icon or something :) with 2 sec timeout.
