It's designed for 16:9 anamorphic screens, i.e. 4:3 when using square pixels. Now I've got an HD TV with VGA input, I was thinking of doing the same, but at the moment I'm still running Freevo at 800x600: I've got nowhere near the CPU to decode HD video.
