I have this in my local_config.py:
EVENTS['video']['RED'] = Event(VIDEO_SEND_MPLAYER_CMD, arg='switch_ratio
1.77778')
EVENTS['video']['GREEN'] = Event(VIDEO_SEND_MPLAYER_CMD, arg='switch_ratio
1.33333')
This way you can switch aspect ratio even at play time.
