Thank you for your comments. So it will be no problem to use OpenSSL. OpenSSL 
is much faster than GnuTLS, so I will use that. And I don't need to bother 
about the GnuTLS-version any more unless someone else wants the new version. 
I can still upgrade GnuTLS if you want. It might be advisable to do that. I 
don't know, what 1.6.2 brings us.

And Debian did not got the licence wrong, because tntnet was GPL but is not 
any more.
