Vu toute l'armature nécessaire et la technique de pose, j'ai dans l'idée
que le prix d'un câble sous-marin n'est que très très peu lié au nombre
de fibres qu'il y a dedans. Mais en fait, j'y connais rien. Un expert
peut-il confirmer ou infirmer cette intuition ?

Le titre est plus que douteux puisqu'il se compare sur la capacité
actuelle délivrée plutôt que la capacité théorique de
l'infrastructure fibre posée avant leur innovation.
La question que je me pose, surtout, c'est: mais que va-t-on bien
pouvoir faire de 300Tbps à la maison (puisque c'est la cible). Est-ce
que le 1Gbps actuel (ou éventuellement 10Gbps) ne suffit pas pour
n'importe quel usage qu'on pourrait vouloir raisonnablement à la
maison ? Oui, je sais bien, 640Ko, toussa, mais à un moment, la télé
1000k, on n'est juste pas capables de la percevoir...
Il faut qu'on arrête cette course, c'est juste complètement débile.
