First, thanks for your work.

Looks like the repo has 3 commits now, the first can be just merged
without any problem. For the two others, do you have a link in the
upstream mailing list about why can't they be submitted upstream?

I just want to understand why do you want to make an exception and
include such patches in our packages before they are accepted upstream.
