Just a suggestion. We chunk out only 250 pages at a time to the RIP (single Node, this has changed since upgrading). We found that after that "chunk", there were significant increases to the RIP time. The 250 page count usually takes us around 1 hour to RIP. Where 500 pages might take 3 - 4 hours to RIP....
You might want to test using different "chunks" to see how this will effect the time. Then I found the documentation explaining the advantages of saving as a Yours Truly file and loading SNAP fonts.
