If you're switching between a LAN NIC and SR without rebooting, or dial-up & LAN, etc., the routing table on the computer is probably the culprit. They get confused when you do stuff like that because they think the old route is still available.
Does SmartView Tracker show anything?

I apologize in advance for the relatively general nature of this question but I am having some real problems getting Secure Remote to work correctly.
I'm using NG with AI R55 on a Solaris 9 machine.
I got Secure Remote installed on a client and got it to recognize the gateway and I got in with my login and password just fine after having set up the few options available in the default Remote Access community. However, when I connect to the various resources, the results I get are very strange. Sometimes it encrypts and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it lets me in and sometimes it doesn't. The results do seem to be consistent on a per machine basis (if I can get in I can always get in and vice versa) but nothing I do in the rule base seems to change any of the behavior.
I've got a lot more study and research to do on this but if anyone can offer some general tips or a link to some good documentation, it would be most appreciated.
