That's what I am thinking too.  It just gave me pause that it wasn't listed
in the NGX release notes as a supported platform.

Our IP650s all have 256MB RAM, and they are fine with R55W.  Is it worth the
hassle to upgrade them with more RAM for NGX?  Opinions?

well - checkpoint release notes say about nokia:

NGX (R60) supports the following Nokia platforms:

for linux checkpoint required:
Intel Pentium II 300 MHz or equivalent processor
. 300 MB free disk space
. RAM
. Windows: 256 Mbytes
. Linux: 128 Mbytes (256 Mbytes recommended)
. One or more network adapter cards

so if you have 256 MB of RAM and about 500 MB free harddisk-space it will
work.
