Hi, I'm considering replacing an IP350 R55 with a UTM-1 136. We're on a 2megabit leased line, & this would be a perimeter device. I can imagine upgrading the line to something faster perhaps ADSL2 or perhaps BT fibre based Infinity product when it become available, that would run at 40mbits, so performance wise I need to allow a little headroom.
Our network has about 40 users, light web browsing, a couple of sftp servers which will be protected by the UTM, several IPSec vpns, for periodic once a day file transfer. A website for customer reporting, again filtered, I'd be stunned it it had more than 2 concurrent users. Generally what are peoples opinions of this device, I'm a little wary of buying a bottom of the range device, but I want to stay with checkpoint as we have cisco internally. thanks Richard cheers Richard ---------------------- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
