I have a permanent license for 4.1, upgraded from 4.0. FW-1 4.0 was
incorrectly bought, along with gold support. Registered the certificate and
recieved a 4.0 key. Then proceeded to register the support and contacted
the vendor, distributor, and then Checkpoint themselves to get a 4.1
license key.
Here's the fw printlic (never expires)

That is correct. Checkpoint does not have permanent licenses yet for 4.1.
They are still working on them. So you will have to use an eval license
until the permanent licenses are available.

For the people who are working with 4.1 upgrading from 4.0 (not a new
installation): are you using a permanent license or an evaluation? My
vendor
was unable to give me a permanent license.
Thanks for comments.
