hi,
being a German customer we've been supplied with our first permanent 4.1
licenses in November 1999. Afaik 4.1 SP0 has been released to the
public in October 1999 which is half a year before CP started shipping
their Check Point 2000 aka 4.1 SP1. The licenses from 4.1 SP0 and
Check Point 2000 are identically, only the license aliases defined in
$FWDIR/conf/cp.macro have changed slightly.

I've the feeling that half of the code in $FWDIR/bin/fw is related
to license management ;-) Does CP really think their licensing
procedures protect them against copyright violations? And on the other
hand most of the companies I know will pay the fee for the FW-1
product, even without software enforced protection.
