What O.S do you use for your firewall, you should check the OS routing
table to make sure that DMZ IP is allowed to internet........

Dear Paul,
No, I have not gone into the Checkpoint software installation yet because I
am making sure first that the routing work before software installation (a
requirement).I am stuck here.

Are you doing NAT from DMZ to the firewall? Do you have a Stealth rule?
