Because according to NewerTechs former website they've sold out. But a
NewerTech card works fine with OS 8.6-9.2.2 from my experience. I haven't
tried it with OS X. But this IBM card is cheap, and presumably IBM will be
around for awhile longer to support the card. Plus I can use it with my Dell
Latitude. Win-win situation.
