It actually happens mostly not just when the screen is closed, but when there's 
pressure on the unit. If I carry my powerbook around by its lonesome, I get no 
marks.... but if I put it in my bag, where it bangs against me, and books inside put 
pressure on it, I do get marks.

There's actually a company that makes a nice leather cover for the keyboard, but their 
name eludes me at the moment.... I've been meaning to buy one for a while.
