Jim,

An easy way to tell is that if it came with a 10, 20 or 30GB drive, it 
is Sept 2000 or later.  Mine came with a 6GB and, FWIW, is marked JUNE 
2000 on the DVD-ROM drive.  Unknown if this indicates a manufacture date 
of the whole 'book.
