Thank you to all who have responded. Apparently the golden hour to call Adelphia support is 5:35 EDT, because I got a rep in about 60 seconds. But she said that their system no longer locks into the MAC address, that moving the modem from computer to computer in a household would make no difference. She of course followed this with, "we don't support routers." Which I took to mean, we won't help you troubleshoot. I may turn off my modem while I'm at work today and try again this evening. Seems a shame to miss a good bargain like this, and I'd really like the wireless access -- I hate chaining my Pismo to the desk. FWIW, the Airport card works wonderfully on the Lawn of the University, it's quite an experience to sit down in the middle of Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village and surf at full speed. But I digress. Thanks again for the input. Best, Joel
