Hi all: I thought that a Switcher's opinion might be helpful here too.
I, since my introduction to computers in 1985 to the IBM PC Jr. have been using PCs. All my life everything I knew was Microsoft, IBM compatible and a Windows world for me. I took the plunge back in May with $500 on a Wallstreet 250 from an Ebay auction. That's when I officially switched. Now it did come with 9.0.4 on it, and I have since upgraded to 10.2.2. Initially I did have some problems with the OS 9, but I chalked that up to being unfamiliar with the Macintosh OS. Now, in using X.2.2, I feel at home. There was never a better field for Mac than Jaguar. It's smooth, stylish, clean and it does what ever operating system should - function without a hitch! Since installing Jaguar, NO system crashes, NO kernel panics, NO sleep of death. Every problem imaginable with a computer, I HAVEN'T had it happen to me on my Mac. And again, as so many stated before, this is not a state-of-the-art computer, even by Mac standards. I applaud the efforts of Apple to design an operating system like this. The Prince of Darkness, Bill Gates, should take a page from Steve Jobs. I will never go back to Windows, and I am currently in the process of convincing (a futile attempt) my Dad to switch. Microsoft is to computers what the Black Death was to Europe. Take care and may you and your Macintosh rock on! - John On Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at 12:11 AM, Marty Lindower wrote: >> NOT ONE single system crash?
