ROFL!!! USB did not take off in the market until the advent of the iMac. USB ports were shipping on Windows PCs for nearly *two years*, prior, yet USB devices were relatively rare. The entire USB market took off when the iMac (with nothing but) shipped. (and no, I'm not an Apple employee, nor am I merely spouting Macevangelism; I'm speaking as a system administrator of an overwhelmingly PC-centric network of some 300-400 systems, commenting on what I've seen in the marketplace for the last several years.) And in reference to your digital camera mention, I'd *really* like to see a few examples of Digital Cameras that have USB 2.0 only... I searched <http://www.everythingusb.com> and found *three* entries in the list of digital and video cameras that had USB 2.0. Two were web-cams, and there was a single HP Photosmart (Photosmart 612) digital camera listed. It was a 2.11 megapixel camera...not really all that high-end.
