FWIW, I haven't burned mine up yet. I've a peculiar wake-from-sleep
issue with my Lucent WaveLan wireless card. The Wallstreet will wake
itself up and there have been many times where I have plunked my
Kensington bag down (with PB in it) at work in the morning to return to
my office near noon to find that it's awake with the lid closed INSIDE
THE BAG.

Needless to say it's quite warm in there. I just replaced this
computer with a TiBook 1GHz yesterday so I imagine this issue will no
longer be as big a concern.
