I would have to say I agree.  I have been running OS X since August 
without a single forced reboot.  Yet in the 24 hours or so since 
installing 10.2.4, I've had two:  once, finder locked up and even 
ssh-ing to my machine wouldn't allow me to get out of the mess, and a 
second time, after opening my ibook back up, I was greeted with a 
full-screen message (but certainly prettier than Windows blue screens) 
that I had to manually reboot.

It's certainly not something I've done.  I don't screw with my computer 
that much, and when I do, I have a great deal of knowledge how to do so 
(former Unix programmer).

I was going to stay quiet and wait to see if it happened again before I 
said something, but looks as though my problems might be common to 
10.2.4!
