Hello all,

My Pismo has always had a pretty loud trackpad button. I've basically
lived with it and used the trackpad itself for clicking (which is great
once you get used to it, but usually confuses the daylights out of other
people using it for the first time!). Unfortunately, because I always
clicked with my left thumb, the left side of my button caved in below case
level, and now I'm using the right side only.

While I'm on the topic... every now and then, mostly in winter, my
trackpad fritzes out for a few minutes. I can move the cursor while my
thumb is still on the pad, but as soon as I let it up it will jump back to
almost its previous position. This happens even when ONLY my fingertip is
touching the computer -- no other part of my hand or body touches it.
Sooner or later, it goes away, but it's really annoying. I think it's
static electricity (I live in the far north of Michigan, and we have
steam heat which is extremely dry).. Am I alone?

Dave
