A local battery store here in the sunny Okanagan, Battery Direct, is rebuilding Pismo batteries, at least. $40, with higher performance cells than the original.
They're part of a national chain, but I doubt it extends outside of Canada. But I'll bet any battery specialty store would be a good place to check.
