Is it a viable path to try and find a standard DVDplayer, update my PDQ
processor to a 500Mhz/1MB G4, increase RAM to 512 and have that work to
play DVD movies? What software under OS X could play movie DVDs under
this setup? Are there other modifications that need to be done to hardware?

What kind of casing would I need to put the DVD player in? Can I just
replace my Exp. Bay CDplayer in its casing or does a DVD have to fit
other internal connectors?

What if I find a good CD-RW/DVD-R (Combo drive sorta)? Can that work?
Anyone tried anything similar?

To get the Wallstreet DVDdecoder card is pointless as I understand it
doesn't work with OS X.

Also Hello to everyone on the list.
