does a driver exist for this cardbus card (for my g3 wallstreet)? i've done a lot of googling around, but haven't found anything. it doesn't seem to work with the apple firewire drivers by themselves. thanks!
I used this card on a G3 Powerbook in OS9 without drivers - OK. I also used it successfully in a Titanium PB 800 under OSX without drivers - you will probably need to restart to get the card to function however.
hmm. i tried restarting/shutting down and restarting/unplugging the firewire cable/powering down and powering up the maxtor 5000dv (the firewire drive i'm trying to mount) to no avail.
in os 9 there is a "firewire 2 go enabler" that helps it work. is there a mounting utility? can i do it through the terminal app? are there firewire extensions that i might need to manually install/re-install?
i am using OS 10.2.6, if that has any bearing on this.
