My Epson 740 is an inkjet, not a dot matrix printer. :-)
As far as current DM printers for Mac, I think only the printers with ethernet connections have drivers. I know that Okidata and Epson don't have OS X drivers unless they have added them recently. That is why I just bought a laser printer.
