Excuse me for my english, but I will try to be clear.
I understand that you shouldn't move a Hard Disc when
spinning, because you can break it.
The HD has small discs which are very fragile.
It has small arms which reads the information so they
move really fast. If one of the arms only touch one of
the discs, say goodbye to that HD.
They are very sensitive.
A few companies which make Notebooks, mount the Hard
Drives over some king of spounge or a similar material
to reduce the vibrations.
To reduce risks, I ALWAYS turn off (or put to sleep)
my PowerBook before moving it.
