I did when it started, and it's showing all 256 MB. If I remember
correctly, the mini only has one bank of RAM, so if it didn't show up,
it wouldn't run. I may be wrong on my assumption that it's only got one
RAM slot, though. It still shows all 256 MB RAM.
This is my question, would the file system journaling be affecting
speed?

Check that the amount of RAM it thinks it has is the amount it's

I've been talking with my grandpa, whom I converted to a Mac, but
he's been complaining of his mini feeling slower than when it was
new. I'm speaking from my limited experience with OS X and its
behavior but running Jaguar on my Lombard (G3/400, 192 MB RAM) feels
more responsive than his Rev. A mini (G4/1.25 GHz, 256 MB RAM)
running Panther. Any help?

P.S. I know this is a 'Books only list, but I hope I can be forgiven
