Thanks for clearing that up, I think.
I'm still 'haunted' by earlier stories (macintouch or
similar) or Ram going bad one month after
installation. Hard to understand how a firmware
upgrade would take so long to make its presence known.
I have yet to 'track down' the exact specs of the NEC
Dimms, but it would be interesting because the sales
people at the peecee store tracked them down using the
single 'Genesis' Dimm that was reading 256MB.
I suppose the true test is in a newer G3/G4 that needs
the 4.17/4.18 upgrade.
