the problem with burning sessions, is there is a long lead in and even
longer lead out burnt to the disk each time, as i recall you lose
something like 50-100 meg of space for each sessions.  the other factor
in deciding which to use should be you're reliability requirements,
cd-r/rw media are far more stable than a zip disk.  in fact, when i
first started using cdr media i torture tested some disk, left them
pressed against the window for a few weeks in winter where they were
partially frosted to the window, after thawing it worked fine.  tortured
another disk by wrapping it in wet paper towels and tin foil, threw it
in the deep freeze for a few days, and then directly into the hot tub at
104 degrees for several days, initially the media stopped working
because the plastic had absorbed moisture, but after a day or 2 of
drying out completely it again was flawless.  cdr media is fairly
indestructible.  cd r/w media may be another story, i never tried it do
to the cost difference and my preference to ideally keep all my backups.
