OK that's good 'cause I use Illustrator 10 and PS 7.0 very frequently. >>> I would either buy a G3/450 and bump it to 500 or go with a 400/450 >>> G4 and bump it up < so far 500 is all a B&W can handle - apple >>> restriction > FYI PowerLogix tech support says 550 but yeh it's a proprietary chip controller, that's 2 things they employed to barrier G4 upgrades - a$$holes ;). I tried on a rev. 1 B&W to get the speed up to 450MHz. It diddn't work. I now have a Rev. 2. Is there any chance the CPU is copper not Aluminum based as that was what stopped the G3s going over 400MHz IIRC. They had to re-jig the production line to do the faster chips in copper. >> Anyone know any games, other than Quake III and all it's various >> spin-offs, that use AltiVec? UT has an OS X patch that runs OK on my G3/400 under 10.2. I'm also glad to see they have fixed some of the issues with Quake III: Arena and 10.2. > all-in-all Id do some research before spending any serious $ on a > Soundblaster....reaked havok on my system...no patch/support in sight > for a MAC. > Im not holding my breath either =) I thought that might happen. I can only hope they produce a Mac driver for the Extidgy box. It's a bit more standard being a USB Audio device. Anyone know if it is standard protocol USB Audio or if it's a botch - I suspect the latter from Creative. -- Mark Benson AIM - SilValleyPirate Visit FlatPackMacs online: <http://fpm.gotdns.com> Mac LC Central -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
