Wrong. You might want to look at this page, because, 512's are definitely useable in Beige G3's :
http://www.memoryx.net/apl168d512.html The maximum usable amount is still limited to 768 MB tho. So, if you put three 512's in a beige G3 , you will still only see 768 MB.
