I have only ever used 256mb Dimms x 3 to Max a Beige G3. 3 x 256mb dimms
are cheaper than a single 512mb and a 256 anyway, and since the memory
controller can only see 768mb's what's the question? Will that 512 work in
a Beige G3? Yes it will. It isn't a matter of whether a slot will "see" a
certain amount of Ram. It is a matter of whether the memory controller
will. That and the Dimms have to be "low-Profile" or the top case will not
close properly and most of the 168-pin 512mb Dimms are *not* low Profile.
