Our group plays a lot of Counterstrike, so he just resolved to having a PC just for that. One of his brothers has also been considering it, granted he's been threatening to switch for more than 3 years.... I'd advise sitting him in front of your Mac for a few hours. Let him try it out a few times. Either he'll love it, or he'll be unimpressed. At least you'll know for sure.
