I seriously doubt ( hope
Im wrong) that Panther is going to have any more consideration for slower
G4's than Jag did, so I guess 10.2.6 is as good as we are going to get =(.
Best thing Ive noticed about the G5's are that I just bought a DA for less
than I paid for my used DP500 almost two years ago (and I got a screaming
good deal on the dp).



I don't agree with most of what you said but rather than argue I will tell you that the 10.3 dev release runs snappy on my G4 733, snappy like OS 9.2 on the same hardware, snappy like BeOS on 300MHz 604s and P2s, it was just crazy. I will also tell you that for seemingly no reason at all it just stops responding and many apps get the spinning cursor, but eh, its 6 months out in dev still.
