Well I all around hate this discussion and I will tell you this, I will defend Apple, but when they do something STUPID I won't. A lot of you make sense. And Kyle makes a good point about comparing Apple's and Oranges, you really can't. I for the first time this year built and Ran a Pc I have went from 98 all the way to XP, I have to say Xp is nice. There are things XP does better then the Mac, and there is things the Mac does better then the PC, So all around Having both platforms will solve your problem. I am running XP on a Celeron 333mhz thatıs slow and it runs well, but I do have 352MB of ram, Mac by the way will rule in the ram department! Pc's consider Consumer cost, Mac's DONıT! So if your having a software purchase problem because of new Os's just pirate the software. We should only have to pay for software once not hundreds of times.
