I did a little digging on xlr8's site, and told him to do some reading there as well. I gave him that link Glenn posted about how to tell which chip is on your Motherboard.
Jacob currently has the original 10 GB Apple drive in his machine. He is very involved in photography, both still and digital. He also has an iPod. So, it is no wonder he needs more drive space. If he does have the Rev 1 motherboard, and can not add a slave drive, is there a size limit on what he could install as a replacement for the 10GB drive?
I don't think he can afford an IDE controller PCI card and a new drive.
His machine does have an OrangeMicro Grappler+Serial PCI card in it now. What I found on OrangeMicro's web site about using their cards with Jaguar and Panther was not encouraging.
Suggestions anyone?
Nancy
