Came to me as G3-300.
mobo 820-0991-B w/Rage Pro Turbo ATI chip (rev B or C?).
rom $77D.45F2 (rev C).
Added ram/4M video ram/ATA pci card, Adaptec 2930 scsi card.

When you say "outright" do you mean remove pci cards or just
don't do clean OS install? I first installed whisper card w/o
touching anything else. I swapped it in/out twice in phase 1
with standard audio card before going to phase 2.
