Plus the sound out & headphones mini jacks at the bottom just below the modem port. BobT --- end of quote --- Tha sounds like the DVD card, the last of the wings cards. I have one in my Beige, Rev 1 motherboard rev c rom. If you run Sytem Profiler in os 9 it will display which wings card is installed. I don't have 9 running now but as I recall, it comes up as DVD A/V personality card or something like that. I don't think the 10 equivalent of Profiler (Apple menu/About this Mac/more info) identifies the personality card on a Beige.
The video in on that card will only work on a rev 3 motherboard and only if no pci video card is installed. And no way to use int it 10. Video out worked for me in os 9 but I have not tried it in 10. Audio out works fine in 10 for me and so does audio in. But you have to set the sond preferences correctly for audio in. This is true in 9 and 10, if I remember correctly. This last of the presonality cards (wings) is supposed to have a much improved sound chip, which is why I keep it even though I don't need the DVD or video portions, all of which are obsolete in this day of Firewire DV video, Radeon video cards and accelerater zifs.
