Is that you? I thought for sure you'd know the answer for this one,
being the guru for all things G3. <g>

You *must* have a hardware decoder card attached to the OEM ATI video
card for DVD decoding to work. I used to have one here, but I didn't
need it and sold it on the swap list a ways back. You can find them on
eBay, though.
